Thank you very much to the Class of '85 for making our 20th reunion a very memorable event! A great big super cool THANK YOU to the great committee that put all their TIME, EFFORT, RESOURCES, CREATIVE IDEAS, EXPERIENCE, and especially SELFLESS giving to make this happen. It was great seeing everyone again and for some, our lives haven't crossed paths for 20 years. WOW, just think...... when we graduated high school we were only 17 or 18 years old (we hadn't been living for 20 years yet) and now, it's 20 years since we've been out of high school. WOW......... Thank you to everyone that was able to attend the reunion. Your participation helped to make it a huge success - we had an awesome turn out. Kalani & Dana - your presence meant a great deal to us - Kalani keep on shaking that booty! Chrissy the DJ was awesome - thank you for donating his service! David & Denise Hoopai - what a blast you are, so FUN! To the businesses and classmates that sponsored this event - MAHALO NUI LOA - for your kindness and generosity, especially Damien Farias! Last but certainly not least, to the members of the committee - I am so proud of you! Great job! To the men of the committee - thank you for your patience and loyalty. Thank you Patti Dodd for your enormous generosity with your delicious baked goods during our fundraisers. Deanna thank you for donating your time to produce & present the slide show. To Jan for going above & beyond and for standing by me throughout the whole process. I (we) could not have worked so efficiently without you. I will miss the late night emails, rendezvouz, and phone calls. Or will I? Hee hee. Ahhh well, it was wonderful to re-solidify a friendship that was started many moons ago when we were in Lihikai School. To the rest of the committee, I could go on and on about each of you but then this entry would be too long. You know I LOVE you and I appreciate every single ounce of energy you have placed into this reunion. I am so proud to have worked with a group of responsible and dependable individuals. The success of the reunion was a wonderful TEAM effort. Joey is right - why wait another 5 years? A weekend was way too short. I smell a BBQ around the corner. STAY TUNED.

Hi Everyone! Thank you very much for the emails, phone messages and “shout outs” (thanks Dee!) in the Guest Book. Joey, you’re soooooooo thoughtful BUT like I said before ... please don’t get me anything because I feel we should all share in the acknowledgment of “our” planning success. Your energies and focus are rightly directed on your wife and family now - thank goodness Jodi is all right. We truly missed your presence and great sense of humor ... but we’ll keep in touch for the final follow up meeting. I am more than happy with the results of the events - a year long of preparation FINALLY brought us together once again. The priceless gifts of thanks and sincere appreciation from all of you mean more to me than anything else! As the “Planning Committee” our only regret was ... to ensure everything went well ... it didn’t leave us with much time or energy left to socialize as much as we had hoped. Wasn’t it funny how some of us really changed to the point of NOT being recognizable or, was it just me? Good thing Dee made name tags for us! Personally I liked the Britney Spears star quality performance the best on Stag Night. Maile Labasan ... any chance I can get a copy of your video tape? Rhonda ... your willingness to “live LIFE to it’s fullest” without any inhibitions really made the evening FUN and FABULOUS! Hats off to ALL that went on stage attempting to be hypnotized. I should have tried it, but I was too chicken ... I’ll go next time (wink, wink ... with my fingers crossed behind my back!). Many people have already expressed looking forward to the NEXT reunion. Hahaha ... so who’s planning that one??? THANK YOU AGAIN to ALL that went above and beyond to make our 20th year events memorable ... Yvette Bantilan, Cathy Bellard Pellazar, Michelle Calleon Cantere, Lynette Casil Kokubun, Rhonda Cua Barut, Patti Dodd, Traci Fujita Villarosa, Cal Hayase, Joey Hogin, Deanna Kamakeeaina Reece, Chrissy Knowles Park, Dee Miguel James, Herman Nakoa, Dean Oshiro, Kari Shimada Wakakuwa, Dominic Suguitan, Bryan Tagalan, Michelle Tam Ho, Efren Ugalino, Garett Uyesugi, everyone else that participated in our BHS ‘85 Fundraisers AND especially the generous Sponsors & Donors : )

Garett, Thank you for letting me play paintball today and especially for allowing me try out your expensive equiptment. I really had FUN and as a result may be visiting your shop sometime in the near future (along with everyone else that played too). It was intresting to see what the hobby was all about ... I felt the RUSH of adrenaline each time we were all on the field but now that I am home, I'm experiencing the PAIN from all the places I got hit.- LOL ... just kidding. Thanks again for the opportunity!!

Aloha from Vancouver, WA! Wish we were there having fun and catching up on 20 yrs with all of you. But we didnt' feel quite left out; we had our own mini reunion here in the Northwest. Jane Mananag Kalson happened to be in the Seattle area visiting her sister Judith. Kealoha Bosque is stationed at Fort Lewis, WA. The 3 of us got together on Friday July 8th. We had such a good time visiting and catching up with life even if it was only for a few hours. I'm glad to hear that you all had a good time. Lots of "kudo's" to the committee. Hopefully a reunion on the mainland? Vegas sure sounds good! Joey and Jodi, take good care and our prayers to you for a quick recovery. Gotta run, my "little man" is calling.............................

Garett - I had so much FUN with the paintball event yesterday. What an adrenaline rush! I even took a picture of the 2.5" hematoma on my left thigh...ha ha ha. No mini skirts for awhile. Thank you for running in and letting me use your ultra expensive paintball gun when mines jammed mid-fire. "Da bugga was so sensitive" - I barely touched the trigger and almost shot my own foot!! To anyone reading this, safety procedures were heavily implemented and there were referees throughout the field to ensure the safety of all participants. Thank you, Garett, for coordinating this group activity. I know there was a lot of work cleaning up after us. Thanks to those who participated along with me: Scott Teruya, Herman Nakoa, Cy Nakoa, Jim Reece, Eldon Kuloloio, Del-Fin Cockett Yoshida & daughter, Dillon Bantilan, Stephen Barut.

Hey Everyone. Finally recovered from the wonderful stag night. I want to say thanks to the committee who did such wonderful planning. I'd say the stag night was a blast. I really enjoyed myself and I'm not a partier but sure did that night wish the night hadn't ended. Manu, you will be missed a whole bunch girl. I know that we hardly saw each other while you were here but we grew up together and your missed a whole lot. Lots of love to all of you. Joey I'm very glad to hear that your wife is recovering. She is in our thoughts and prayers. Eugene & Dana it was really great to see you after 20 years you both still haven't changed. Looking forward to Vegas in the next 5 years already told my husband and he said sure you can go the kids will be old enough to take care of themselves. To all of you it was really great to see you all lets all keep in touch. Yeah when is the next time that we will be having meetings or BBQ sounds fun. Like everyone says we can go on and on. Mahalo Nui everyone. Love you all see you in 5 years or sooner. Take Care and God Bless.

Hi guys! Just had a chance to look at all of the pictures! Looks and sounds like you all had a great time! I'm sorry that I missed it. Had some business to take care of and stopped in to see my family in Seattle so as you heard from Virginia, we also had a mini-reunion of our own. We thought about all of you and had a great time reminiscing. Las Vegas sure sounds like fun if it's really in the works! Everyone looks wonderful and happy! Joey, my prayers are with you and Jodi. Please tell her to remain faithful...she sure sounds like a strong woman. Maile Labasan, if you read this, I'd love to hear from you. Lots to catch up on...my email address is leolanik@yahoo.com. By the way, why do we have to wait five years to go to Las Vegas? Just a passing thought. :) God bless!

Greetings from Connecticut. It was nice seeing everyone on this website. Looks like everyone had lots of fun. Can't believe our class celebrated our 20th reunion, time sure flies quickly. My oldest of four children just graduated from high school. She is leaving for college this Friday. (Splitting image of me except lighter in skin color. My son (17) just signed up for the Army, leaving next July. It's payback for what I put my grandparents through when I joined. My two younger daughters (14 and 12) keep me busy with their sports. As for me, I've been married to my husband Paul for 19 years now. I work as a Area Coordinator for an international security company which handles northern CT, MA, and VT. And I finally got a degree in Fine Arts this year. Something that I always wanted. I'd like to hear from some of you. My email address is kanoa66@yahoo.com.

On a positive note, more reunion pictures will be added, hopefully, before I leave for my trip. At least the ones that Dee gave to Jan to give to me so many months ago. I'm sorry Dee, I dropped the ball. Also, there are currently 9 rolls of film at Costco at this moment that I will pick-up tomorrow, and I will add these pictures before I leave or after I get back. On yet another note...hee,hee...Aileen Taomoto is home for the holidays and several of us are getting together at Asians on Friday night, December 23rd. Not sure what time though...roughly around 9:00 pm. Please join in on a game of pool if you can and if you can't find anyone there at that time, there's a possiblity we might be at Manana Garage.
